“Anotherloverholenyohead” is a track from Prince’s eighth studio album “Parade: Music From The Motion Picture Under The Cherry Moon” released on March 31, 1986. The instrumental track was recorded at Sunset Sound in Hollywood, CA on December 16, 1985, and features Prince playing nearly all of the instruments. It does also feature horn players Eric Leeds and Atlanta Bliss (on saxophone and trumpet, respectively) and well as background vocals by Susannah Melvoin of The Family (also Prince’s then-girlfriend). The song was released as the third single from “Parade” on July 2, 1986 b/w the album cut “Girls And Boys” on the US release (the UK pressings feature “I Wanna Be Your Lover”). At the time of its release it will only be a modest chart hit, peaking at #18 on the Billboard R&B singles chart and #63 on the Hot 100. Sign of the Times is one of our favorite Prince albums. The fourth track on the album “The Ballad of Dorothy Parker” is a classic. Any Prince diehard fan can recite the lyrics. The song has always been a difficult one to slip in at gigs due to the slow tempo and we are always forced to play it very early in the night. We are very fortunate that DJ Design (Foreign Legion/Look) produced a special enhanced remix just for The Prince vs Michael Experience. At about 115 bpm this remix is perfect for dance floors everywhere. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
